Ductless Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Installation and Repair in MississaugaCarrier ductless mini-split outdoor unit

A ductless split system, also called a mini-split, cools or heats a room without ductwork: a compact outdoor unit connects through a small wall opening to one or more indoor heads. It is the practical choice for homes without ducts, finished basements, additions and sunrooms, garages converted to living space, and for upstairs bedrooms that never match the thermostat downstairs.

Aire One Peel Heating & Cooling installs, repairs and maintains Carrier and Mitsubishi Electric ductless systems in Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Milton, Etobicoke, Georgetown and Bolton. Most systems we install today are cold-climate ductless heat pumps, so the same unit that cools in July also heats in January and takes load off your furnace.

Book online at any time or call 905-564-8545 to speak with a technician. We size every system to the room with a heat-load calculation rather than square footage alone, explain single-zone versus multi-zone options, and give you a written quote before any work starts.

Our ductless services include:

A single-zone mini-split is usually the right answer for one problem room. A multi-zone system, with one outdoor unit and two to five indoor heads, can condition a whole home without ducts. Cold-climate models from Carrier and Mitsubishi Electric are rated to keep heating at outdoor temperatures well below freezing, which is why ductless heat pumps have become a common choice for Peel Region homes.

Ductless heat pumps may qualify for current Ontario rebates when the model meets the programme’s efficiency requirements and the programme’s installer rules are followed. Ask us before you commit and we will confirm what applies to the model you choose.

What to expect when you call

When you call for ductless repair, the technician arrives with the common parts for Carrier and Mitsubishi Electric systems on the truck, so most faults, such as a failed capacitor, a blocked condensate line, low refrigerant or a sensor error, are diagnosed and fixed on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, you get the price and the timeline in writing before we proceed.

Ductless split system FAQs

How much does a ductless mini-split cost to install in Mississauga?

The price depends on the number of indoor heads, the outdoor unit’s capacity and efficiency rating, the length of the refrigerant line set and any electrical work. A single-zone system is the least expensive option; a multi-zone system costs more in total but less per zone than several single units. We provide a written, itemized quote after a site visit, with any rebate the model qualifies for shown separately.

Can a ductless heat pump heat a home through a Mississauga winter?

Cold-climate ductless heat pumps are rated to deliver heat at outdoor temperatures of -25 °C and lower; the exact rating depends on the model. Many Peel Region homes run the ductless unit as the main heat source and keep the furnace as backup for the coldest nights. The right setup depends on your home’s insulation and on which rooms you want to heat.

Do I need a permit or an electrician for a ductless installation?

A ductless system needs its own electrical circuit, and electrical work in Ontario must be done by a licensed electrical contractor with an Electrical Safety Authority notification where required. We coordinate the electrical work as part of the installation and include it in the quote.

How often should a ductless system be serviced?

Clean the indoor filters every four to six weeks during heavy use and book a professional maintenance visit once a year for coil cleaning, a condensate drain check, refrigerant pressure and electrical connections. Dirty coils are the most common reason a mini-split loses capacity.
